I have experience in software integrations for engineering and operations teams. I build services that collect those readings and pass them to monitoring and maintenance tools. The work includes checking protocols, units and update rates with the engineers responsible for the equipment. I can automate data collection, connect an existing application and give staff a screen for reviewing errors. I also set up access controls and document how to restart a failed service. Before handover, we test missing readings and broken connections, as well as the normal flow. Cycling is my usual way to get to work, and I enjoy the longer route when there's time. On a project, I prefer early conversations with both operators and developers. It saves everyone time when a practical constraint comes up before the integration is built.
